LEVELS & CERTIFICATES

COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK OF REFERENCE FOR LANGUAGES (CEFR)
The Common European Framework is becoming the European standard to measure progresses in language learning.

Our courses meet the Common European Framework Of Reference For Languages (CEFR) which distinguishes three main groups of competence which in their turn are split into six proficiency levels:

A – Basic user (A1 – Breakthrough or Beginner, A2 – Way stage or elementary)
B - Independent user (B1 - Threshold or intermediate , B2 - Vantage or upper intermediate)
C - Proficient user ( C1- Effective operational proficiency or advanced, C2 - Mastery or proficiency).

The Framework describes in detail competences to be achieved for each level in all skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing.

CERTIFICATE OF LEVEL

All students who decide, on request, to make the level test at the end of the course receive a certificate of achievement documenting their language level (according to the European Common Frame of Reference).  The test will take place on last day of the course.
Students who do not wish to be tested will receive a certificate of attendance and will attend standard lessons on the last day of the course. We do not release directly CILS, CELI, or AIL certificates, but we can help students to prepare these exams. Click here to receive more information about the preparation courses.
