Alessandra Gucci – Italian Language Tutor
Cultural activities & events manager

My name is Alessandra, I was born and grew up in Florence, from an Italian father and a French mother.
The passion for languages grew in me since my early age, first of all, driven by the need to communicate with the part of my family living abroad, but also because the study of foreign languages has always been my favourite subject in school! Hence the decision to attend the International Language High School, then the School for Interpreters and Translators and holding finally a degree in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation Sciences (French and English language).

Mastering a second language means to get in touch with its culture, culture cannot be overlooked. Our school project is set actually on this basis. I take care to make sure that our programs provide learners with an all-round overview of our country, through our Italian cultural courses, events and activities.

I spent short and long periods abroad, both to learn languages and to follow my great love for travelling. All these experiences as language learner gave me the chance to meet new realities, new cultures and new people.

Traditions, customs, usages, mentalities: Everything changes from one country to another and there is nothing more fascinating than to discover new points of view. I think it’s getting to know others that we can develop new perspectives, it’s experiencing new activities that we can discover new passions. Being able to communicate in another language, especially at the beginning, is not always easy, indeed.

Empathy and understanding for those who, like our students, undertake this journey in Italy, has actually motivated me to choose this job. My goal is to provide our students all that they may need to be able to live an enriching and exciting Italian Experience.
